My name is Catherine Griffin and I live in Los Angeles, CA. For the past 11 years I have trained and competed as a runner and triathlete. I am a USAT certified coach and love bringing the sport to new athletes and helping them to see what is possible. Since starting my triathlon career, I have had the honor of racing on Team USA, and competing at the Duathlon World Championships, where I earned a Bronze medal in my age group. In addition I am an Ironman finisher and have consistently placed top 3 in my age group at numerous races, in a variety of distances. For the 2011 season I am focusing on a few long distance races: the LA Marathon and NY Marathon (if I am selected in the lottery) and S.O.S. (Survival of the Shawangunks) with a few local, short tune-up races. S.O.S. is my “A” race for the season; it’s a point-to-point, eight part triathlon that includes one cycling segment, four trail running segments, and three open water lake swims.
I’ve been using e21 for about 6 months now and I have consistently found that I feel better when I use it on my long runs and that I recover much faster from both distance and intensity training. I have incorporated it into my daily supplement regimen as well and feel like my system, in general, is a little more balanced.
